What to wear?
Style: The event is summer cocktail attire. The wedding venue is in atenas, is hot during the day and can be chilly at night. we recommend wearing something light and breathable for the day and brining something warm for after dark.
Colors: The bride and groom will be wearing white and charcoal grey, and the bridesmaids will be in dark olive green and the groomsmen in heather grey. We kindly ask that people avoid these colors.

Places to check out
For people traveling to Costa Rica for the first time and are wondering where to go, we recommend checking out:
Pacific Coast:
- Manuel Antonio - quiet beach town with gentle hiking in national park, good for seeing animals.
- Uvita - semi remote beach town, with a whales tale beach, hiking / national parks
- Corcovado national park - very remote national park in the southern zone, the best place for seeing animals (we saw a puma in the wild here). You only really want to go down here for the park though.
- Tamarindo - busy party and surf town, lots of gringos here, but its good fun and good surfing for all levels.
- Santa Teresa - remote party beach town, good surfing but can be a bit hectic. Everyone rides quads round town here. Really fun to rent a Quad.
Central Valley:
- Lafortuna & Arenal volcano - Volcano, hot springs, hiking / national parks, party town.
- Monteverde - I have not been here yet, but its cloud forest, and people love it.
- San Jose - Poas, Irazu & Turriabla Volcano, La Paz Waterfall gardens.
Carribeaan cost:
- Puerto Viejo & Cahuita - remote party beach town on the south Caribbean side. You have to be a bit more street wise here, but its very cool vibe. Very good for animals here too.
- Tortuguero - North Caribbean, know for long canals of water into the jungle and it is a place where Turtles go to lay eggs.
- Bocas del toro - in Panama on Caribbean side, close to Puerto Vijeo. Party town on stilts in the waters. Swim up bars, boat booze cruises.
- San Juan Del Sur - in Nicaragua, north of Tamarindo - Party surf town. Great surfing for all levels. Cheaper than CR.
Getting Around:
- Uber works perfectly in San Jose and is cheap, so we recommend having that on your phone for when you’re in town.
- Rental cars are available in most places. Driving in Costa Rica is chill outside of San Jose. San Jose driving can be a bit hectic.
- Sansa airlines and Costa Rica Green Airways are the Domestic airlines. The flights around the country are much faster than traveling via car and are relatively cheap, around $100 per person. They’re also small prop planes with great views.
